Hi, I’m Pevê Azevedo, a Brazilian illustrator born in Sobral, Ceará, and currently based in São Paulo. Before working full-time with illustration, I spent more than ten years as a designer and art director, which still influences the way I think about ideas, composition and storytelling.
My work is usually filled with colorful characters, exaggerated proportions, movement and small details. I like mixing humor, everyday life and references from Brazilian culture, especially the warmth, colors and energy of the Northeast. I work across advertising, animation, editorial projects, packaging and murals, always looking for new ways to tell stories through images.
