Bad Luck Reverser was created by NAME Bogotá and VML New York for Refisal, starting from a familiar Colombian superstition: throwing salt over the left shoulder to ward off bad luck. The campaign transformed single-serve salt packs into small good-luck charms for football fans, with editions for all 20 clubs in Colombia’s top league and a special one for the national team. Half the salt was for the food, and the other half was there to help reverse the score before the match.
I was responsible for creating all the characters used throughout the campaign, bringing the different teams, fans and football rituals into the same playful visual world.
